Janney Needs A Helmet

I have never asked for help from anyone besides my parents so this is very hard for me to type. I know everyone needs help once in a while but I'm so used to just running to my parents. This time though I am asking for help from my friends, family members, and even strangers to help raise money for my youngest daughter Janney Ariana Hernandez. I would do anything for any of my children, and as many of you have seen I have recently been trying to raise money by selling cookies and scentsy as well as working more hours when I can at work. My husband and I both work but unfortunately during the holidays work always slows down for him, and he is the main bread winner. The reason we are trying to come up with money for our daughter is because she has neck torticollis. She was born with it, and basically what it is, is that when she was in my womb she always had her head resting on her left side. When she was born she was accustomed to having it to her left side and when we would try to move it to the right side she would cry because it bothered her. Janney started going to therapy for her condition when she was 3 months, she is now 5 months and she is now able to move her head all over the place. Unfortunately though, because she always had her neck on her left side for 3 months she developed flat head syndrome on her left side. Her condition is at the end of moderate and at the beginning of severe. Her therapist and doctor recommended me to take her to an office in Houston where they measure babies heads so that they can get helmets to help shape their heads back to normal. We went and when they did the measurements we were told that she would need to wear it 23 hours a day for 10-12 weeks to get her head to at least mild instead of moderate and severe. It's been about a month that we last went and she still has no helmet. The reason is because her insurance denied paying for the helmet as they say it is only cosmetic that she really doesn't need it. We appealed it and they denied it again. The therapist says that her flat head is affecting her in progressing her motor skills and that she will probably learn to crawl, walk, etc later than a normal child would. We have raised some money of our own for our baby but the helmet costs $3200. I am asking for any type of donations, everything will help. My family and I appreciate any type of help that will help us get the helmet my baby so desperately needs. We need to pay the total amount by January 12, thank you all in advance and God bless you.
