1st Time HomeBuyer Nightmare

As many of you know, my little family and I bought our first home back in August. We have since experienced out worst nightmare. We followed all the correct steps when it came to buying a home, everything passed inspection. 4 days after signing the papers and receiving the keys we began to do some cosmetic remodeling only to find live TERMITES. This was missed by our inspector. This was not damage that was there and gone, this was live bugs crawling up our walls. We had a contractor come out who quoted us that it would be cheaper to tear the home down. The damage done was more than what we bought the house for. This was a huge set back in milestones for us as the three of us are continuing to live and be crammed at my parents house across the street. On top of us beginning to demo the house, we found pipes that were blown, and many things that were outdated and not working. We had no choice but to enter conversations with lawyers to give our family the best we needed. We are struggling to pay lawyer fees, a house payment and attempt to renovate a house that is no longer a home. Any assistance would be very much appreciated when it comes to our horror story. All funds will go to directly to our finances towards the home improvement process. Please help us get the word out also. SHARE>
