Judith Cohen needs your help

I'm writing on behalf of my best friend Fran's mother. My friend Fran is one of a kind, someone who would give you the shirt off her back and help anyone when they are in need.  Now she needs your help . Her mother, Judy Cohen is very sick . Judy is the most caring , generous person you will ever meet. She was a paraprofessional for Special Education children for over 20 years with the Board of Education. One of her Special Education students she taught at 4 years old whom is now 22 years old just visited her at the rehab center this past Saturday . Judy was diagnosed with cancer last year and after extensive surgery, she recovered. About a month ago we found out the cancer came back and has spread badly and she was immediately admitted to the hospital. She was in the hospital being treated for infections so she could start chemotherapy and radiation. The hospital then sent her to a rehabilitation center to get her stronger to start the treatments. Judy is very sick and weak. She starts treatment on Monday 8/20. Her insurance will no longer cover her stay in rehab or any transportation services to and from treatment while  she begins outpatient chemotherapy and radiation at Methodist hospital. Judy is not capable of going home and getting treatment. She has too many steps to get into her apartment and she can't walk. We are asking for your help to try to cover the out of pocket expenses for the remainder of her rehab which could be over $1000.00 a day. Judy is on a fixed income and lives off of her small pension and social security. She gave her whole life helping people and now she needs your help. Please would you find it in your heart to make a donation. August 20, 2018 will be Judy’s first cancer treatment.  Fran will not be celebrating her birthday on August 20th in the traditional sense of celebrating, however, her birthday  gift her mom will be giving her is to fight and beat this terrible disease cancer that has destroyed so many people’s lives .

Thank you everyone for your help as any help is greatly appreciated. This money will go towards all of her medical costs while she is in rehab and while she is home .
