My 5yo son needs brain surgery
Donation protected
My son is 5 years old. He was born with optic nerve hyperplasia. He is blind but he doesn't let that stop him. He is an amazing boy with no fear. He loves everyone and has a smile on his face at all times. I am lucky to be called his mom. Unfortunately, a MRI showed 2 cysts on his brain. One of them is rapidly getting bigger and after seeing a nuerosurgeon, it is a necessity for him to have brain surgery. The surgery is necessary because it is close to blocking one of the ventricles that naturally circulate spinal fluid. Without the surgery, the cyst will block the ventricle and cause the fluid to back up and cause him to have hydrocephalus. As a mom, the thought of my son having brain surgery is a nightmare I wish i could wake up from. The surgery is scheduled for May 10th. I will have to take a film and it does not pay you. I will need to be out to be with him during his recovery. The hospital is a 45 minute drive away and I am a single mother. If you can donate anything towards this cause I would be eternally grateful. Thinking about money during this time is the last thing I want to think about. If you aren't able to donate, could you please say a prayer that my energetic, happy, sweet young boy recovers quickly and is able to return to his normal quirky self quickly? Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
