Ray’s Kidney Fund

Donación protegida
In November 2016, just two weeks before thanksgiving my husband Ray Gonzalez was diagnosed with End Stage Renal Failure. The only options for recovery was a kidney transplant. You could say our lives were changed forever on that day. Most will say that my husband is the strongest person you’ll ever meet. His charismatic personality and determination to help others has always been what I’ve loved most about him. He was a basketball coach for over 15 years in one of the roughest neighborhoods in San Bernardino. Through basketball he was able to teach valuable life lessons that some will say have stuck with them til this day. Ray has also been involved in many community events to help support children and families in need. This difficult journey has taught us to never take anything for granted and most importantly to never give up. After almost two years of enduring rigorous dialysis treatments 3 times a week for 5 hours each day, our prayers were answered. A close family friend has undergone a series of test to discover him to be a match for my husband. We have scheduled a surgery date for early September. Doctors estimate that his recovery will take up to 4 months. During this time Ray will be unable to work and will require ongoing medical attention. We are asking for donations. The funds you donate will be used solely to cover the cost associated with surgery, medications, and other medical expenses related to Ray’s recovery. No amount is to small, all donations are greatly appreciated. Please keep us in your prayers and feel free to share his story with others.
