<div>Hi, I’m Amy, and I am writing this with a full heart and deep hope that you’ll take a moment to read Lisa’s story.

<div>Lisa isn’t just my friend—she is family in every way that matters. She’s the kind of person who shows up when you’re sick, remembers your birthday without reminders, and somehow makes you laugh even when life feels heavy. She has been my rock more times than I can count. Now, she needs us.

<div>A few months ago, Lisa was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was the kind of news that knocks the wind out of you. But Lisa—true to her nature—faced it head-on with courage, grace, and that quiet strength that has always been her signature.

<div>Lisa underwent surgery in August and is now going through chemotherapy, with radiation treatments upcoming. The treatments are grueling and exhausting, and the side effects are brutal, causing her to face increasing financial pressure. She has had to reduce her work hours since her job is physically demanding, even though she needs this time to recover. Despite her health challenges, bills like medical expenses, mortgage, groceries, utilities, and other everyday costs keep piling up. She works as much as she can and remains constantly worried about her finances.

<div>Lisa is undoubtedly a Bad-Ass lady and a strong warrior. Her courage should inspire all of us to be brave in our challenges. But do not be fooled. She has moments when the strength and courage leave her, and she is fragile. I have been staying with Lisa, so I get to see firsthand how this fight is taking its toll on her.

<div>A brave front on a very emotional and scary day. Even though Lisa had a good idea about what this discussion would entail, hearing the words chemotherapy and radiation. Having the side effects explained and realizing they are talking about you is very devastating. I will explain the Wonder Woman theme in a later picture.

<div class="youtube-replace">In the video above, you saw Lisa's first day of chemo on 9/12/25. In this video, you will see Lisa celebrating her fourth and last chemo infusion. It is a tradition at her cancer center to ring the bell when you have finished your last course of treatment. As hard as chemo has been for Lisa, she can still muster the strength and her witty sense of humor to celebrate this day. Probably one of the most important days in her life. You can see it by the pure joy on her face.
