Barney has been my best friend and constant companion through some of the hardest times in my life. He was born with an angular limb deformity, and as he’s grown, his condition has become much worse. Watching him struggle is heartbreaking, but despite everything, he remains the happiest, most loving dog imaginable.

I was diagnosed later in life with ADHD and autism, and growing up was incredibly difficult for me. Barney came into my life at a time when I needed him most. He gave me comfort, purpose, and unconditional love when I was struggling to find my place in the world. He has truly helped me turn my life around and become the person I’m trying so hard to be today.

Now it’s my turn to help him.

Barney urgently needs specialist treatment at Fitzpatrick Referrals to give him the best chance at a pain-free and happy life. Unfortunately, the costs are overwhelming. The initial consultation alone was £450, CT scans are estimated at another £2,500, and surgery itself can start from around £5,000 and that’s without complications or post-operative care.

I will do absolutely everything I can to make sure Barney gets the care he deserves, but the financial strain has become incredibly difficult to manage alone. Asking for help is not easy for me, but any contribution, no matter how small, would mean the world to us.
