Cukie's Recovery

As many of you may know, Cukie (also know as Ms Ribbeck, Mrs Weaver, Carol, Mom, and Mere) underwent open heart surgery on May 3, 2018. What started as a doctor visit on a Monday turned into an angiogram, an unexpected stay in the hospital that week, heart surgery and another two weeks in the hospital for careful observation. Without a doubt those three weeks were quite stressful for all and very hard on her, to say the least, but obviously necessary to her health. Now, three months later Cukie has started cardiac rehab and is on her way to recovery. With all of that said, Cukie has encountered financial setbacks being that she was not able to work and, even after a clean bill of health from her doctors, does not have a full time job to go back to. As someone who does not ask for anything personally but goes above and beyond to give to others in many ways, Cukie is now faced with obligations that reach beyond her own capabilities to resolve. Now that her health is better than it has been in recent memory, it is our goal as family, friends, co-workers and acquaintances to help in alleviating the burdens and stress caused by them that, without a doubt, contributed to her previous health condition, therefore the reason for this effort.
