New Beginnings: The Next Chapter

I moved to NYC, 15 years ago and lived in the same apt until now. 3 years ago, I applied to the Housing Lottery and this week was notified that I’ve won and I’m moving into my own in a studio. A dream, I thought would ever happen for myself, but it is. I’m really excited at this prospect but it’s happening really fast and I’m a little fearful.

I was notified last week and they said the apt is ready for Sept 1st, giving me 3 weeks to pack, move, and set up my new place and get finances ready to do so. I’m worried in this move, that I will fall behind financially with all that goes into moving. I can’t afford to move into a new place and go into debt and was looking for a little help in the transition of it all, getting a moving truck, and anything it might cost in between to help this move be as smooth as possible.

If anyone has it in their heart to give in whatever way they can, I will forever be grateful. You always have a friend in NYC to visit and stay with and can come swim in my pool sometime.

Anyone who knows me, knows I’m too prideful to ask for help, but I do need it and I’m really excited about this new chapter in my life and what this could mean for my future.
