Praying for a miracle

Donation protected
This is my granddaughter Samantha, she is 16 years old. The day she was born I knew I would have to protect her until my last breath on earth. Her father is not around and she has been raised by my daughter and I since her birth. We have always managed to have a roof over her head, clothes to wear and food to eat. We provide her with much love and she is our world. A very special child that has managed to deal with many traumas in her young life.
Samantha has Asperger's, which affects social interactions, one of the many challenges that accompanies this condition. Samantha is extremely intelligent and behaves much older than her age, her level of maturity is amazing. She also tolerates difficulties, pain with an amazing degree of acceptance for what it is.
About 3 years ago Samantha presented an appendicitis pain. She had surgery at Miami's Children Hospital. A couple of days later she started feeling sick and had to be rushed back..... this is when it all started. Samantha stayed at MCH for almost 2 months. Doctors did not find the right diagnosis then. She was treated for Lactose intolerance, IBS, Acid reflux, etc, etc. What we found out is, that it was Chron's disease.
About 6 months ago she started to develop ulcers in her mouth, was vomiting vile and did not feel well with much abdominal pain, this is when the nightmare really started for us.
She was in two hospitals for 2 months and was sent home with Chemo and steroids plus many other medications. She continued to be sick and had to be readmitted right after Thanksgiving. Needless to say her 16th birthday on October 1st was at the hospital and she was too sick even to eat a piece of cake or enjoy gifts that were given to her by family and some who cared about her, nurses at the hospital, friends.
My daughter was let go from her job two days after Samantha was hospitalized and her last check went to pay December rent and buy food/gas.
I am requesting donations to assist her when Samantha is discharged from the hospital. We are praying she is in remission from her illness soon and her mom can get her life in order again.
God does provide, I am thankful for that.
I see all this as a growing experience. I am already envisioning donating gifts to children's hospital because I saw with my own eyes the happiness brought to sick children in need. Those kids are usually so accepting of the situation. They do not ask for much.
