Kboy’s Hospital Bills

A few years ago I was in my early 20s and a huge fan of this British musician. Someone invited me to a private show for him and a few others. My friend and I were able to attend. While we were there we met Shelly & Cyrus Kapadia. Shelly was a large part of why the private show happened. They were the nicest people and Shelly genuinely wanted to talk to us. Fast forward a few years later and a hand full of private shows...and the Kapadias have become some of my favorite people. The family has had some trying times lately, including the diagnosis of their middle child’s Crohn’s disease. They have been following doctor’s orders and taking the medicine as prescribed. Last week Kboy, the middle child, was taken to the ER due to his symptoms. Here we are a week and a half later, and there are still no answers as to why he was as sick as he was. He spent 8 days in the PICU and has recently been moved into the pediatric ward of the hospital. Thankfully the hospital he is at has a hotel dedicated to housing family members of the patients in the hospital for extended periods of time. Shelly has been there for 10 straight days. She is either in Kboy’s room or trying to catch what little sleep she can in her hotel room. It looks as though they could be there for another week and a half. With these unexpected complications for Kboy, the family will have an astronomical hospital & hotel bill. If you know the Kapadias personally, you know they are the first people to offer any kind of help. I can’t tell you the number of times Shelly has helped me through difficult situations.
