Jack And Family

A very dear friend of mine and her family are going through what most would call a nightmare. Jack and Janice have 3 daughters Kim (24), Julia (16), Charlotte (11) and Abby who died as an infant in 2006. Four weeks ago, her husband was doing renovations around their house and started to have some numbness and tingling in his hands, initially he brushed off these concerns unfortunately the numbness became worse and he started to have patchy numbness in his face and arms. Barely 3 weeks later their life has turned into a nightmare. Jack has been diagnosed with Glioblastoma multiforme, a grade 4 cancer in his brain. In barely over a month he has gone from walking, talking and working normally, to him barely holding onto his life. He is unable to talk, apart from at times saying “yes” or “no”, he is unable to walk and has become completely bed bound. The family is praying for as much time with him as possible but his condition is rapidly deteriorating.Financially, Janice and Jack are ok right now but they don’t know what the next few months will look like without any of Jack’s income. They had planned and budgeted for their major house renovations that were already underway when Jack was admitted and diagnosed. They did not anticipate the loss of income.There is the expense of hotels for family members since their house is currently not set up for company (due to the renovations).Janice is also concerned about Kim’s expenses and loss of income while she’s traveling back and forth from Alberta. Janice doesn’t want her to have to stress about paying her bills until after the dust settles here - she’ll have enough to manage without that stress.And we know, despite praying for a miracle, that there will eventually be a funeral and estate expenses. Unfortunately they have had enough experience planning funerals and know how expensive they can be. They have not asked for money but several people have contacted me and Janice asking if they can help financially. I’ve decided to go ahead and open a “go-fund-me page” instead of having people giving money directly to me.Please continue to pray for this family
