Baby John-Rod-- Lilly

This spring Cristina and Erin discovered they are expecting their first child. This was met by excitement and joy. During the 20 week doctor's appointment the ob/gyn became concerned with the baby's heart. The next day Erin and Cristina was down in Denver at Children's Hospital where Lilly was diagnosed with Hypo-plastic Left Ventricle Heart Syndrome.

The resulting costs of this condition will be substantial. Along with the astronomical medical costs, Cristina and Erin will be facing loss of pay from them having to spend an exorbitant amount of time living down by the hospital while the baby recovers from the first of three heart surgeries. Money donated will go towards medical bills, the additional costs of living in Denver, and the expenses affiliated with keeping their current residence. As mentioned before, there will be three surgeries. First will be within the first 5-8 days of birth, followed by a second surgery at approximately 3-4 months of age, and the final surgery between the ages of 3-5 years old. The first surgery is certainly the most precarious of the three.
