LAPS FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT 2018
Donation protected
Last year I raised over $3,000 for the Concerns of Police Survivors - DC Chapter as part of a service related project for my attendance at the FBI Youth Leadership Program. This year my brother Rory and my Dad are joining me for the second annual Laps for Law Enforcement! Our goal is to raise $5,000 in two weeks. All of the money raised will go directly to the Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS) DC Chapter. COPS was founded on the premise of remembering the sacrifice of law enforcement officers who were killed in the line of duty, while honoring their survivors. They specifically provide resources to assist in the rebuilding of the lives of surviving families and affected coworkers of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty.
Beginning Wednesday, April 4 through Wednesday, April 18 all three of us will be swimming laps in honor of the men and women of law enforcement who have paid the ultimate sacrifice and died in the line of duty. Each night we will swim in honor of a specific fallen hero. We will also post daily updates on our progress.
Our plan is to present the check to COPS-DC prior to Police Week 2018 at their survivor breakfast on May 5, 2018. Please consider donating to to the Concerns of Police Survivors DC Chapter.
