On May 27,2018 my mom felt a sharp pain on her right shoulder that radiates through her arms, back and chest. She felt a lump on her left breast which prompted us to seek medical advice. Breast Ultrasound & Mammogram was done and the lump found on her left breast was highly suspicious carcinoma. The doctor requested Core Needle Biopsy for further evaluation and the initial diagnosis was Breast Cancer Stage 2B.
My mother was staying in Canada since 2016 to help me take care of my daughter. Since she has only Visitor Visa, she is not entitled to public health care in Canada and was advised to go back to the Philippines for further evaluation and treatment. She went home last August 15, 2018.
After various laboratory tests, unfortunately, it was confirmed that she has Breast Cancer Stage 3A. She will undergo mastectomy on August 30, 2018 and after three weeks she will have her chemotherapy. Her total chemo session is 6 + 18 session of Herceptin and will be administered every 3 weeks as well as the radiation.
We are seeking for any financial support you could offer for her surgery and breast cancer treatment.
Cancer may have started this fight, but we will end the battle through our prayers & support.
