Our Esk8 Brother needs our Help

These are the times when we can make a huge difference in the lives of others.Our Esk8 brother, Joe Dubya needs our help! Joe was hit by a car today. He is widely known as @socal_legend on Instagram, ambassador for Evolve boards and Shredlights. He has been a positive force in the electric skateboard community for years.What happened?Joe was waiting at a crosswalk and the light turned RED for the cars. He had the GREEN arrow to cross the street. A lady driving a white VAN did not stop at the RED light. The speed limit on that road was 55 mph. Joe was HIT, thrown over the windshield and shot 50ft down the road, smashing the passenger door and windshield.He is cut up on both knees and elbows. He also sustained a couple of broken toes. Joe was geared up, had a helmet and a backpack which helped protect his neck and spine. Thank God!What’s happening now?1. He out of the hospital, but is out of commission for a few weeks. That means he can’t work and times are hard. 6 weeks is a long time.2.His one of a kind board is toast. Memories are now toothpicks.3. He is going to miss the EVOLVE WORLD CUP, something that is finally coming to his hometown but now can’t participate in because he is broken and so is his heart.My friend Joe is crushed. He’s mad at the world. He’s upset. He’s worried about how he’s gonna make it tomorrow. Wouldn’t you be?Joe has been a positive role model for many new Esk8ers.
