Mater Dei Prep Polar Plunge

Wow. Thank you everyone who sponsored me. Thank you everyone who Plunged for their schools. What a great day for Catholic Schools! We had some mini-miracles. The weather was 50 degrees, not ZERO, the water was 39 degrees, but didn't seem that cold......might have been the rum buckets. On Friday, I went down to the beach to survey the area.....tractors, cranes, pipes, piles of sand and a 10 foot drop from the beach to the water due to storm erosion.

We were going to have to walk to the next beach which was .25 - .5 miles away from McLoones. We called it a parade. Everyone loves a parade...... We showed up on Sunday and the beach behind McLoone's was clear, level and beautiful. The Long Branch OEM guy called me to ask if we would mind going on the beach right behind McLoone's. We do what we can to help the town.

The crowd was large. The people were happy. The AOH lived up to their motto of Unity, Friendship and Christian Charity. The money is still being counted, but we are currently in the $115,000 range.

I plunged with Elizabeth (7th Plunge) and Erin (Rookie Toe Touch Plunge) Thanks my babies......and of course Sharon who puts up with my crazy plans and works right along side me. She's crazy too! We are perfect together.
