Help w/the Ivy (new knee) Bill

Many of you have asked how you could help with Ivy's surgery, so I set up this page in hopes that we could meet a goal for her surgery bill. Please share it! Ivy Burton-Romero was adopted in February of 2013 at the Chicago Animal Care and Control in Chicago IL. She was left abandoned to die in a car. We saw her lovely ears and decided she was "the one." She has been nothing but a joy in our lives since then. Fast forward to December 13th (Friday) of 2013 she had an accident. She was playing in the snow when all of a sudden she yelped and would not walk on her leg. After waiting the night to see if it got better, she was taken to the vet to discover that she had torn her ACL in her left hind leg. In order to fix it she would need surgery. The vet gave us the option of not doing a surgery but she would walk with a limp and have to take pain medication for the rest of her life. She is turning 2 years old in February and we could not bare the thought of her living 10 to 12 more years having this injury. Because we love her so much we HAD to get the surgery for her. While we were able to "come up" with the money, we really didn't have it available and need to pay it back. Because of her weight, we were fortunate and were able to choose the cheapest procedure for this injury. She is getting a Lateral Suture nylon replacement. If you are able to give to this fund we would greatly appreciate it. No amount is too small and it will be used solely to fund the bill.
