Sending Ian Off To College...

Hello to all, it is with great pride and jubilation that we'd like to announce that our beloved Ian Watson will be leaving for the University of Maryland on August 23 ,2018 (Go Terps!!!) If you are reading this, chances are that you are aware of just how exceptional a young man Ian is. Ian graduated from Lower Merion High school in June of 2018. While there he was a member of the Beckman Scholars and took advanced placement courses. In addition to being a four year honor student Ian also excelled as a musician in the School's band as a percussionist and composer. This is particularly impressive considering the extraordinary personal tragedy he was faced with his senior year. It is our hope that we can send Ian off with an abundance of well wishes, prayers and any generosity that you may be able to afford him. With this in mind it is our goal to help Ian transition smoothly into the next chapter of his journey. Ian's commitment to his education has proven rewarding and has garnered him several scholarships, which will certainly help with tuition. In lieu of a conventional "Trunk Party"( to assist in all of the other things an incoming freshman will need for independent living) we would like your assistance in raising $3500 for Ian. Thank you to all for your continuous support and prayers for our Ian. We often hear the phrase" it takes a village..." This effort is in the spirit of that African Proverb.
