Help Zeke Beat Cancer

On Wednesday July 18th- Dave and Sadie noticed blood in Zeke’s urine while hanging out at the cabin. After a long series of tests, numerous hospital visits, a trip to the cities, more tests, more hospitals, and a loooong hospital stay, it has been determined that Zeke has a cancerous tumor in his bladder (rhabdomyosarcoma). On July 28th, Zeke will start several weeks of chemo.

Chemo will be every week. Some visits will be a simple outpatient check at the clinic while other visits will require being admitted and staying a night or two. If all goes according to plan, the doctors expect to surgically remove the tumor around week 12, followed by more chemo. The total plan looks to be about 43 weeks of Chemo and possibly some radiation depending on if the tumor can be fully removed. Zeke's tumor is describe as "unfavorable" due to being able to "hide" in the body. A favorable tumor is a growth where it can be seen. His tumor is on the "smaller" side.
