Mike Renner Medical Fund

If you know Mike Renner you know he is one of the sweetest men you will ever meet. Mike's faith in God has followed him throughout his marriage to Sandy, the raising of Emily and Joe, and the birth of 5 grandchildren: Reed, Chandler, Evan, Lily and Jamison. Semi-retired, Mike was struck with pancreatitis on November 22, 2013 and admitted to the ICU at Skyridge Medical Center. After more than a week in ICU, pneumonia, gallbladder removal surgery, elevated liver enzymes and temporarily a diabetic Mike went home on December 6th. Four days later Sandy called an ambulance to take Mike back to Skyridge. After a CT scan showed his pancreas and vascular system had completely shut down. The family was given two options: Emory or Vanderbilt. Vanderbilt was chosen and Mike was airlifted to Nashville where he remains today. He has suffered through several blood clots, allergy to blood thinner medication, dangerously low blood pressure, surgery to remove 3 liters of infected abdominal fluid and being put on a ventilator. Mike is coming along slowly but surely. He has a long way to go. The doctors say it will be a marathon of recovery and rehabilitation. As you know Sandy is self employed as a successful nail tech at Prestige Salon. Being self employed means if you don't work, you don't get paid. Not being able to help in any other way, Sandys coworkers wanted to start collecting money to help with the Renner's expenses. Over $1000 has been collected so far and we all know much more is needed. If you can help Mike and Sandy it would mean the world to them. They would never ask for themselves but we can all imagine the hardship of being out of town and being unable to work.
