*UPDATE: On Saturday, January 19, 2014 at 6:03AM SSgt Richard E. Kile Jr. recieved his angel wings when he passed from this world to the next. It is with great faith, we know we will see him again.

Richie (the Dad) has battled brain cancer for almost 12 years. He was first diagnosed with a stage 4 cancerous brain tumor the size of a golf ball when he was a 25 year old Sgt. in the United States Marine Corps. At that time, the doctors gave him a short time to live and a grim prognosis. Not only did he defy the odds, he was reinstated to active duty and deployed to Afghanistan. He came home to find out that his young son was diagnosed with Leukemia (Thank God, today Tristan is a healthy 17 year old). He was meant to live long enough to bless us with his miracle baby girl, Hannah Grace (age 6). Several years ago Richie was medically retired from the Marine Corps that he loved! Three brain tumors later and Richie's fight and his time with his family and friends is coming to an end. At the moment, Rich is in the ICU at Ashtabula Medical Center. We do not know how long he has...it could be a few days,it could be a few weeks...but the truth is, his time with us is definitely coming to a close. Richie has no life insurance and his family has been living on his Military retirement and VA benefits much of which will be gone with his passing. Needless to say, his family needs your help. The money raised here will help with cremation expenses (He will be ceremoniously buried at sea by the United States Navy) and help the family keep their home and stay on their feet until other financial arrangements can be made. Jenean (the Mom) volunteers much of her time to St John school as the volunteer Drama Club instructor and the entire family participates in community theater with the Ashtabula Arts Center. He will leave behind his wife of 15 years, Jenean. Sons Zachary (20) Tristan (17) Christopher (12) and his baby girl Hannah Grace (6).

For those of you who don't know me, my name is Sara and I am Hannah's Godmother and have known Jenean and her family since I was 9 years old. I have known Richie from the very beginning of their relationship. If you have any questions about the integrity of this page, please contact Jenean directly and ask.
