El Salvador Missons Fund

The Lord has put an incredible opportunity before me. He has given me the opportunity to go to el Salvador for a year long mission trip. A little background information with me is, I started going on mission trips when I was 9 years old, my parents took me to Suriname South America on my first trip, that next year they took me to El Salvador for the very first time. As a young girl I immediately fell in love with the country and the people, I have never seen people with such a hunger and desperation for God. That mission trip has marked me ever since. After that we continued going back to El Salvador every year or every other year. My parents and I quickly built relationships with Pastors there, that we now are still in close relation with. As I kept traveling back to El Salvador I knew the Lord was drawing me there, that country, those people, quickly became a part of my heart. I remember always telling my parents that one day I was going to live in El Salvador, and I think that just goes to show the power of our words.
I later graduated high school, then went to the Ramp School of Ministry in Alabama for almost three years now. As I was in school I still went on my yearly trips to El Salvador. A little bit before I graduated my last year of ministry school I remember asking the Lord to open up doors of opportunity for me in missions, and specifically for El Salvador. A year later, which was March of this year, I went to El Salvador and my prayers had been answered and my dreams were becoming a reality.
One of the Pastors, Pastor Salvador and Ena had a meeting with me, and Pastor Salvador shared his vision for a new program he was wanting to start the next school year which is this January. Then he explained to me the program and asked me if I would be interested in being the director of this program. At that moment I remember just breaking down and crying because God was showing me that he stayed true to his word and to the promises for my life. Of course I prayed about it and I had many conformations that this was what the Lord was wanting me to do in this next season of my life.
So I want to share some about this program. Pastor Salvador named the program Salem. The purpose of this program is to get the younger kids off the streets and help them build firm foundations in the Lord so they will be able to withstand any obstacles that come their way in the suture. We want to have daily devotions, have an english class, and teach these kids different skills that will help them in the future. Were starting with 20 boys and 20 girls, ages 7-9.
Also I wanted to encourage you all that if the Lord has put dreams inside of you, never give up on those dreams, because they will come to pass, the Lord stays true to his promises for our lives. He is not a man that he should lie. I have learned that the timing of the Lord is the only perfect timing. I appreciate any support that you could give, I will also be needing lots of prayer to back me up, and also pray for this new program. Also thanks to any of you that have supported me in the past, you have sowed into my future. Thank you, and God Bless you.
