My name is Marissa, and I’m asking for help during the most painful and frightening moment my family has ever faced.
My boyfriend and the father of my three young children was unexpectedly taken into ICE custody. In a matter of moments, our children went from having their dad with them every day to asking why he hasn’t come home. They are confused, heartbroken, and struggling to understand how their world changed so suddenly.
He is a loving, hands-on father who has always put his children first. He helps with homework, makes them laugh, and comforts them when they’re scared. He is their protector, their safe place, and their biggest source of stability. Watching them cry for their dad and not knowing when—or if—they’ll see him again has been devastating.
We are doing everything we can to fight for him to come home, but the cost of an experienced immigration attorney is more than we can afford on our own. Legal representation is critical in cases like this, and without it, our family’s chances are greatly diminished.
