STAND BY SCOTT

On Saturday March 31, 2018  I was preparing to go to work.  It was 5am and dark outside, I wasnt completely awake when I got to the top of my stairs to leave. I made it down the first step and missed the next thirteen steps landing on the hardwood floor.  We walked to the car as I held my head up, not wanting to go by ambulance because of the expense. The next 4 days were a blur as I went through countless MRIs and CT scans, and X-rays. I have broken my C2 vertebrae , had several contusions on my ear and in my hairline. I now have a halo which is bolted into the first layer of my skull. The pain at times has been almost unbearable. I am currently at home and have been told by my doctors that the halo will need to stay on for at least 8 weeks, and if it doesnt heal properly I could still have surgery to repair the bone. If surgery has to be performed I will be unable to work for at least 6 months or more. After the halo does come off I will need months of physical therapy to be the person I was before. I am a hardworking man who loves his family, and I worry that I wont be able to provide for them. The hospital bills, therapy, and many other bills will soon be arriving. If anyone decides to help me it will be a great blessing. Besides the tremendous amount of money that my broken neck will cost our family, we still have our personal expenses, mortgage , utilities, insurance, car payments, etc. I must also pay for my health insurance out of pocket to continue my medical treatments.  This will place a tremendous burden on our family.
