New community gymnastics facility

Our goal is to open a new community based gymnastics facility.
In an effort to help combat childhood obesity, the facility will offer affordable gymnastics and fitness classes to not only low income and single parent households, but to foster children and their families. In other words- gymnastics for all.
Gymnastics can be an expensive sport, not just to create a safe environment with the proper equipment, but also to pay for classes. Our main goal is to create a nurturing and caring environment for all people to come learn and feel welcome. Additionally, we want everyone to build self-confidence and feel great joy when they accomplish the goals that they set for themselves.
This facility will not prosper unless we have your support. We are really building this program from the ground up with just a small competitive team and hope to grow it into a large recreational gym with all classes for all ages, from mommy-&-me to adult.
This will be something special for our community. The passion that we have for this sport and the desire to help our gymnasts to become the best gymnast, and best person, that they can be is unmatched. Gymnastics helps build strong, independent, dedicated, and determined kids into adults with those same attributes. A gym becomes another family for many of these athletes. Together we can make gymnastics happen for everyone.
Media City Gymnastics officially started 2 years ago when the two coaches of the program decided to put a dream into action by having a gymnastics facility that caters to low-income families. Many of the gymnasts that we have, past and present, have come to us after leaving other gyms, being unable to afford the costs. These coaches have a combined coaching experience of 50 years as well as degrees and education certifications that allow them to have the knowledge and skills to provide these athletes with the support that they need. The gymnastics classes that we currently have available range from beginner to recreational to experienced competitive gymnastics. Not only are these gymnasts learning new skills and mastering them, they also learn teamwork, dedication, hard work, patience, and perseverance. These skills not only develop a strong athlete in any sport, but also stick with them throughout their lives and shape the person that they will become.
Currently we rent a space in a facility that does not have the same goals and mission that we want to provide. Our classes have slowly grown smaller as we are unable to provide the added support to many families that simply can’t afford it or practice within the schedule that we have been given. Many of the classes that we want to provide are not seen as necessary nor are we allowed the opportunity to use the facility during the hours needed to advance our gymnasts.
