On Thanksgiving Day 2013, my beloved aunt, Haleh Nouri Esfandiari, was diagnosed with Stage III- IV (very advanced) Lung cancer involving her lymph nodes. Haleh, 52, is the proud mother of two sons, ages 18 and19, a loving wife, the youngest of three sisters and an aunt, cousin and friend.
Haleh provides warmth and wisdom to her family members with her charisma and constant source of positive energy and love. She always makes sure the needs of others are met before her own and emphasizes the importance of enjoying every moment. Her laughter and smile fill up a room and her generosity inspires us to be better people.
Always stressing the importance of family, she moved to Southern California in 2004 to be near her large loving family and to also provide her children with the best possible education and opportunities.
Haleh is our joy, our rock and the glue that binds our family. She has an unbreakable spirit and with the love and support of family and friends, she will fight this cancer and she will win this battle.
We are quickly feeling the immense financial pressure of the cost of her lifesaving medical treatments. Haleh starts a whole array of treatments including chemotherapy and possible radiation next week. As you come together this holiday season, we ask of your generosity, thoughts and prayers.
No donation is too small. Thank you for your time and kindness.
