So Very Close..Law Enfrcmnt Cert

Donation protected
I am so very, very close to achieving a critical step in my career change and I hope you can help me out. Ten bucks, twenty bucks...every little bit helps.

I need to pay off $845 by January 10th so I can finish my law enforcement licensing certificate. I've tried to get loans and I've been turned down. I've sold off everything I can think of. In the past 3 months I've paid off over $1,000 of my $1,700 tuition balance. Plus I have to pay about $200 for the spring semester. I was counting on funds from my part-time job to squeak in by the deadline, but my hours have been cut and I can't count on my remaining scheduled shifts to actually be able to work.

I'm not good at asking for help. I don't want to ask for help, but I need to.

I can't say I'll pay you back. I don't know when I would be able to. What I can do is pledge to "pay it back" and "pay it forward". Whatever amount of funds I receive to help me I will double the total and contribute that amount to a scholarship fund in the future. Realistically, that will be in three years or so if all goes according to plan. So if I raise the $845 I'm asking for I will donate $1,690 to a scholarship fund in the future.

Please consider contributing. Not only will you help me, but you help out someone else later.

If you don't know me or we haven't connected in awhile here's the short version:
December 2008: lost well paying job;
January - August 2009: unemployed, full time job hunting, depleted savings and tapped into 401k to make ends meet;
Sept 2009: finally found a part-time job and a full time temp job that, combined, paid slightly more than unemployment;
October 2009 - March 2012: frantically working two jobs while looking for a "real job" and struggling to make ends meet, exhausted 401k/retirement funds;
April 2012: after much reflection and thought made a huge decision to quit part-time job, live like a pauper and return to school to follow a long time interest in law enforcement (in MN you need pay your own way for certification to apply to become a police officer), very fortunately employed by university that covers the vast majority of my tuition;
May - December 2012: coursework toward law enforcement certificate, 4.0 GPA!, awarded Minn. Chiefs of Police Association Scholarship :)
November 2012: bad news, due to circumstances/errors beyond my control I had to put my education on hold
January 2013 - September 2013: in a holding pattern, questioning myself if I am crazy to do this, always coming up with the answer that I will regret it if I don't do this, searching for part-time job;
October 2013: finally find part-time job in retail (read: low pay)
November - December 2013: paying off balance and worrying about outstanding balance
January 2014- August 2014: ?????
