(Just to edit this, obviously this is a huge amount of money, costs for the clinic are high and then accommodation and flights on top. Anything I don't need/use will be donated between my local cancer support centre The Hummingbird centre)
I was diagnosed in October 2016 with triple negative breast cancer.. not only that but it was already what they call stage 4 as it had spread to distant lymph nodes and outside of the breast into my sternal area.
I had initial treatment on a trial in London, anyone that knows me will remember I just hid away when I was on that as it was brutal. After 7 rounds of horrific chemo I was still not anywhere near free of cancer.
I came back to the NHS for a different type of weekly chemo. After 7 rounds of this I was described as "stable" but no better.
The NHS have such limited resources, everything I have researched that I enquire about is not available to me here. But all of it and more is available abroad, I have battled with the NHS for a year and I can't just sit back and let this take over my body and die. I have 3 children who are my life, I hate asking people for money as I've always been independent and quite proud but I have no choice.. anything, even a £1 will help.
I plan to go to a clinic overseas that has proven to be successful in its treatment of triple negative breast cancer and I know of at least 5 people who have had an NHS terminal diagnosis come away from there cancer free.. this is literally me fighting for my life and any help anyone can give will be appreciated.
I'm still working full time and trying to put as much away as I can but its a slow process.. I'm looking into fundraising events but any ideas will be appreciated as this is new to me!
