My Study Abroad Trip to Italy!

Hello everyone! Through my college, SUNY Brockport, I've been recently given the opportunity to actually go to Italy for 2 weeks - where I'll be able to embrace the culture, along with the chance to gain life-long experiences! Due to expenses and medical problems, I have never really had the chance to go out and do anything like this. This trip is not only a once in a lifetime opportunity, but one of my biggest dreams. I've always wanted to travel and experience the world, but I have never had the chance to travel outside the county.

Also, this program gives me the opportunity to learn all about the history, traditions, and other aspects of the Italian culture. As a future educator, this will help me further understand a variety of my future students’ backgrounds and family traditions. One of the most vital parts of the position is to be able to create an environment for my students to feel comfortable in the classroom and feel accepted no matter who they are and where they come from, and this trip will give me more insight to do just that!
