Veterans Voyage Home

Hello everyone! My husband Brett and I have been stationed in Japan for the past several years. Brett is a veteran and is ready to start attending Southeast Missouri State University and reenlist in the Guard this fall. Unfortunately the military does not include pets fees when relocating so that’s on the service members dime. Yesterday, Brett and one of our dogs, Zero, began their journey home to the States after 6 years. However, due to the Summer heat Brett was unable to fly with Zero. American Airlines was not cooperative (despite having paid for insurance for the tickets) and so Brett had to fly back to Misawa from Tokyo and was forced to miss his other three flights because of this. In total those tickets cost us over $2,000. Unfortunately, we are unable to finance new flights for Brett and Zero to get home in time for school in August. One of the reasons Brett even joined the military was to be able to go to college when he finished serving. It is deeply saddening that American Airlines was unable to work in a flight for a veteran home. Because of their lack of cooperation, we are desperate to get him home in time for school and asking upon the kindness of others to achieve our goal. Absolutely anything will help and we are incredibly grateful. Thank you and God Bless America!
