Pacey goes to Washington!!

My name is Pacey and I am 11 years old. Recently, my social studies teacher nominated me for this amazing leadership award because of my hard work and willingness to take charge and always helping others. Because of her nomination, I have been invited to Washington D.C. to attend a youth leadership conference! This is a really big deal because only a few kids from across the country are invited to attend. During my seven days in Washington I will get not only get to attend various workshops and classes focusing on leadership skills, I will also get to visit and learn about many of the monuments in D.C. including the Lincoln Memorial and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. I will also get to visit the National Museum of American History and have a sleepover at the Maryland Science Center!
I am so excited about this opportunity, and so are my parents. They said they would do everything they could to make this dream come true for me but I also need to pitch in because it is a lot of money to attend (over $2000, yikes!).
It would be amazing if I could raise enough money to attend. Not only would it be a fun and educational trip, but it would also benefit me in the future because it would look great on my college applications.
