Lisa's Sister Jan -She's Fighting Cancer

We recently learned that Lisa's beloved sister Jan has stage 4 uterine cancer that has spread to her liver.  As we prepare to help her through chemotherapy, we are looking for support with the costs associated with her treatment combined with the loss  of wages for all three of us as we band together to fight as a family to get her well and defeat the cancer.  

Following the initial chemotherapy treatments, there will be major surgery to remove a basketball-sized tumor in her abdomen along with the hysterectomy procedure and the removal of a portion of her liver.  Although insurance is covering a portion of the costs, the co-pay amounts are still substantial.  

There are also other factors such as prescriptions, expensive dietary needs and the loss of a portion of the rent due to her inability to work on a continual basis.  

One of the ways that we are trying to help Jan is by easing her financial fears so she can concentrate on getting well.  Her attitude is fantastic but she worries about the practicalities involved in being there for her through this traumatic period.
