Please help my father Toshihide

Donation protected
Greetings to All, My name is Yuri Miyoshi-Ansari and I am writing on behalf of my father inJapan.

Recently my father Toshihiede Miyoshi has been having troubles with his health. He wascomplaining of abdominal pain. My mother Isuzu Miyoshi pushed him to get checked up to seewhat was causing the pain. After a series of doctor visits they determined he had urinarycalculus.

He noticed blood in his urine because of the size of the stone that formed. The hospital that treated him did not have the state of the art equipment so it required surgery to remove the stone. The surgery was successful but earlier this year doctors also diagnosed him with kidney stones. Again my father was dealing with a large stone which had to be surgically removed.

My father is also a diabetic so the doctors did some routine test prior to the kidney stone removal. During this 3 year period his red and white blood count was declining. My dad was referred to a
specialist to get a bone morrow test, which resulted in a troubling discovery. My dad was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome. (MDS) And if left untreated he will be at high risk to develop leukemia in the next 3 to 5 years unless he has a bone marrow transplant.

Doctors stressed if he did not have this procedure done he probably would not survive past five years.

Our first order of business was to see if one of his siblings was as match and could be a donor. But unfortunately my uncle was not a match with my dad. So he will need to register as a donor in Japan.

Unfortunately, the government sponsored health care does not cover this expense. All the funds that need to be raised will have to come out of pocket.

To further complicate the situation the bone marrow unit in Japan is not really good. There are not many registered donors in comparison to other countries. There is a greater chance of finding a matching donor here in the US. But the cost of the transplant surgery is at least $50,000. This is a very dire situation and the clock is ticking.

So I am pleading for any contributions you can provide to help me to raise the needed funds for my dad. Please find it within your heart to help us to reach our goal of $50,000 so my dad can survive this condition.

I desperately need your help!
