The Warmth of Our Songs

Donation protected
We are very happy to present this new recording project, "The Warmth of Our Songs",   jazz and spirituals. As African  American artists  (expatriates) we have lived in France for many years. We  cherish  our cultural experience here. But we equally keep in our hearts the roots of music and culture from our native America.  In the midst of the very challenging times due to the  Covid-19 virus pandemic, this project is our attempt to keep music growing. We try to remain hopeful that things will get better for all of us sooner than later. The virus has disenfranchised our jazz and arts communities around the world.  Art and music must keep evolving and flourishing as it mirrors life to better understand and appreciate our cultural differences.

Your financial support would be greatly appreciated to continue funding this project.  It would help to recoup expenses  already accrued to record and mix it , artists compensation, and setting up online digital music distribution services. But more work is needed for marketing and promotion as well as designing and producing items  such as  compact discs (cds) and other promotional items.   These items would be available to donors and for sale. "The Warmth of Our Songs" is now up streaming on Spotify, YouTube, Deezer,  and others places. It's also available for downloads on iTunes and Amazon.

This project was recorded in one of the best studios in the Paris region (Meudon) at the highest quality level. The  featured artists, Ursuline Kairson (v), Alain Jean Marie (p), Vincent Bourgeyx (p), John Betsch (dr),  and Darryl Hall (b) are all renowned jazz artists  throughout France and Europe, and the world.

As soon as things reopen following control of the pandemic, we plan to seek professional representation to promote our important project through touring in Europe and the USA.  In the past,  many great  benefactors like Andrew Carnegie, George Peabody or Pannonica de Koenigswarter made a big difference by supporting the arts and jazz. These kinds of efforts remain even more important today. If you are unable to give, you can refer us to a friend or colleague. We still hope you will enjoy this music,  which will offer positive inspiration to the mind, body and soul.

Thank You!
Every financial contribution over $40 (€35) will be offered a hard copy cd.
Contributions of $100 or more will be offered a cd and desk calendar.
