Prayers for Ryan Compton

Donation protected
Ryan Compton is a 13 year old from Frenchtown,MT  who was seen in the ER and ended up getting admitted to the ICU, the next day had an MRI that was able to  diagnose him with bacterial meningitis from a sinus infection.  He was immediately life flighted to Seattle Children’s Hospital where he underwent life threatening emergency brain surgery.  The infection was so severe it was attacking his brain and bones. Both the neurosurgeon and an ENT had to perform surgery at the same time. They had to remove a large piece of his skull to relieve pressure on his brain and it will be 4 or 5 months until it will be put back in. They will be putting Ryan on a 12 week IV antibiotics after weeks in the ICU and we are looking at a long road to recovery. Since there have been so few cases of bacterial meningitis in the last 30 years, it is very difficult for doctors treat  and makes things even more complicated. Ryan is in very rough shape and the costs for the medical treatment, surgeries, medication, gas, hotels and food have started to add up quickly, and the family is in need of our love, support and prayers! Anything helps, let’s show this family we are here for them during this extremely difficult time.

Beth and Frank Compton (Ryan’s parents) update their Facebook page often so you can take a look there to see how Ryan is progressing.
