I’m creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my former employee in Haiti, who is living every mother’s worst nightmare.

Her beautiful 3-year-old son tragically passed away after falling into a ravine. He fought for his life for days, but his little body couldn’t hold on.

Now, in the middle of her grief, she faces something no parent should; the hospital is holding her son’s body because she owes $900 in medical bills. On top of that, she needs around $1,500 more to give him a proper funeral and say goodbye with dignity.

As a mother myself, I can’t even imagine the pain she’s going through; losing a child and then having to beg for his release just to lay him to rest.
