We are all coming together as a community to bless and love on Sarah and her family during this hard time. If you can give the money will go towards anything they need such as diapers/ airline tickets (so family can come see her)/ food/ medical bills ect. If you can not give please pray!
Here is the Story of what is going on with Sarah:
Sarah gave birth to her second baby on Monday morning. Everything went smoothly. Tuesday evening she started coming down with a fever, throwing up, and diarrhea. In the middle of the night she spiked a fever of 106, it later broke, then spiked again to 103. She assumed she had the flu like her 2 year old did the week before. Thursday there was no change. She was getting extremely dehydrated and trying to nurse her newborn. Friday morning her husband and mother took her to the ER where she passed out in the wheel chair. After running some tests they found that her blood was infected. Things started going downhill from there. By mid Friday her body was in septic shock, her organs were shutting down and the Dr. told her husband that she had an 85-90% chance of not making it. Friday evening they were told that the night would be critical and we would have to wait it out and see how her body responded to the antibiotics. Saturday morning saw some improvements but throughout the day her breathing was strained and her kidneys were regressing. They made the call to sedate her and ventilate for the next 48 hours to allow her body to rest and heal. Her body is fighting hard to kill this Strep A infection that they believe was caught during labor. Now we wait and see how her body heals and responds during this ventilation period.
"Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven."
