Help Margaret Fight Melanoma

Margaret "Gosia" (Tuminski )Scarcella
Margaret is a mother, wife, daughter, sister, niece, cousin, aunt and friend. Margaret was diagnosed with Stage3 Malignant Melanoma in 2009. Since then she has had numerous surgeries, scans, and radiation on top of frequent visits to oncologists and dermatologists.
Margaret has had many obstacles to overcome through the years.
In 2000 she had a prolonged hospitalization after becoming septic from a burst appendix. She went into respiratory failure and was put in an induced coma to heal. The hospital never gave her a pregnancy test, she soon found out she was pregnant with her first child. Margaret was very concerned about the health of her unborn child because of all the drugs she had received. But by the grace of God she had a beautiful son Shane:and three years later cute and rambunctious son Kyle.
In 2006 while raising her two young sons she was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. She was given many medications, including Enbrel which helped her Rheumatoid but most likely potentiated the Melanoma.
Her loyal and dedicated husband Bobby has worked continuously to support his family. Although they needed to relocate to Bayville he continued to commute over an hour north to the company he worked loyally to support his family "“ the pay was "ok" the benefits not great , but he was grateful he had a job. As time went on the medical bills started to pile up so in order to save on money on gas and tolls he stayed at his mother-in-laws for three nights out of the week. Unfortunately the first night he stayed there his pick-up was totaled. This put much added stress on Margaret, as she still needed to take care of the children and get the medical attention she needed. Luckily, Bobby just recently accepted a position much closer to home. As they receive good news, they also received bad news.
The doctors found nodules on Margaret's lungs. They are too small to biopsy but are consistent with metastasis per her oncologist, who strongly recommended treatment which includes IV immunotherapy "“ a series of four treatments three weeks apart. The treatment is hopeful in most but it counteracts her Rheumatoid medications- so we hope for the best.
We may not be able to cure cancer but we can help Margaret fight by taking the burden of medical and life expenses off her shoulders. Her bills have reached astronomical levels throughout the years with her constant struggles with RA and melanoma. Individually we may not be able to make much of a difference but collectively we can make a great impact in Margaret's life. She continues to stay positive and strong for her husband and children.
Please be one of Margaret's Angels! if you can afford to make a small donation to help her and her family. If you can't, please keep Margaret and her family in your prayers. Thank you!
