Support Motorcoaches Rolling for Awareness

Motorcoach Industry Suppliers, Advocates and Organizations:

On behalf of the OEMs and Operators who have volunteered their staff, resources and funds to make “Motorcoaches Rolling for Awareness” (MR4A) a reality, the event committee has agreed to launch a “go fund me” campaign.  The campaign is designed to receive support that has been offered by numerous suppliers and industry advocates to offset the incremental costs incurred to make this a no cost event for operator participants. As MR4A is not an association or entity, the go fund me campaign allows the committee to funnel support dollars back to those who have incrementally invested in the event.  This includes logistical costs such as on-site traffic support and equipment, subsidized parking and event fees, additional vehicles and support teams, etc.  With the overwhelming positive response from our industry operators, the scope of the project quickly grew beyond what the all volunteer committee team could finalize in the matter of essentially 2 weeks.  Therefore, funds received will also be used to offset a significant investment made in securing a 3rd party organization hired to augment efforts of UMA and ABA media relations by focusing on local, state and national media coverage of participants including all forms of press and social media.  The focus of creating “rolling awareness” is to culminate with the ABA and UMA jointly securing government support of $15 billion in grants and loans and modifications to Economic Injury Disaster Loan and Paycheck Protection Programs. The investment made by the committee member organizations are critical to our industries long term viability and ensuring public awareness to prevent the motorcoach industry from being excluded from directed transportation industry relief efforts. 

The committee has agreed that funding received will be redirected back to the organizations based on their incremental financial contribution to the MR4A event.  If excess funds are generated, they will be dispersed to registered attending operators or their associations to assist in offsetting event participation expenses.  The funds will be collected and redistributed by a third party once all funds are received.

By participating in the “go fund me” campaign, you will be able to show your active support of our industry.  We also encourage operators who originally intended to bring more than one coach to the rally, to limit themselves to a single vehicle (and any requested “donor” vehicles), instead investing in the industry by supporting this campaign.
