We are raising money for one of the sweetest ladies we have ever met, her name is Katrina. I first met her at my sons school. Everyday I would see her helping the kids get out and into there parents car before and after school. She ALWAYS had a smile on her face and was so easy and nice to talk to. last year when my son was 4 he was soooo shy he would always make me park my car and walk him inside to his class and then wouldn't want me to leave. That was very hard on me to have to walk away from my crying child. Katrina noticed this and told Tripp (my son) if he would start getting out of the car with her for one week she would buy him a toy. Well guess what!! He got out everyday that week and sure enough that Friday she had bought him a lego toy. Ever since Katrina got him to get out of the car he has done it ever since and made it so much easier on us both. She made him feel like he had a true friend at school. She has also done many other things for him and other kids but this was my first encounter with her.

The entire time she was doing all these kind things I never knew her true story. Katrina has diabetes and has been going each week for dialysis. Last year when she found out she had diabetes she went to the school where my son and her son attend and told them that she wanted to start volunteering to work there without pay so she could be near her son all day. When I heard this I couldn't believe it! I was like, so you mean to tell me she works there all day for free? The whole time I thought she was an employee not a volunteer. She volunteers because they attend a private school and they allow her to trade volunteer hours in exchange for tuition. I am so thankful the school allows her to do this. After she leaves the school she goes to her job with her son. She just wants the best for child as every parent does.

Recently, she has had some more challenges in her life. Some personal things that I will not go into but also some financial problems. She is about to lose the place she lives in two weeks because she simply can not afford the rent and all the utilities. Her car engine also blew up so now she is without a car. I cant imagine what she is going through. Its almost Christmas and she will not have a place to live!? That hurts my heart in so many ways. I have created this page in hopes this story touches someones heart and would like to help her in anyway possible. Please help a lady who truly deserves it. When I think back at when she had bought the lego toy, I now know she probably didn't even have enough money to do that but out of her loving heart she wanted to help a child. The world needs more souls like hers. Please help me to make a little bit of difference in her life.
