Celebrating the Life of Kelsey Alexa

On Thursday, December 12, 2013, Amanda and Matthew Adair arrived at Inova Fairfax Hospital for her scheduled induction. Little did they know, their lives were about to change forever.
Amanda was full term with their 4th baby. Her last appointment was on Monday the 9th and everything was perfect. Her induction was scheduled at 8:00am on Thursday, and at 8:01am, nurses could not find a heartbeat for the baby. They did not know what could have caused this, but they determined that the baby had passed. They could not do an emergency c-section because that would put Amanda at great risks, and by this point, the doctors number one priority was to keep Amanda alive and well.
At 4:47pm, Amanda gave birth to a beautiful, perfect baby girl, Kelsey Alexa Adair. Weighing 6lbs 9oz and 19.25'' long, she had her daddy's brown curly hair, and her momma's tiny cute chin. She was perfect... There was nothing more we could do than surround Matthew, Amanda and Kelsey with lots of love and prayers.
On behalf of the The Adair and Rector family, your donations to help hold a beautiful service for Kelsey Alexa would be greatly appreciated more than words could explain. Our hearts are broken and our world has been at a halt. We know finances are hard for almost everyone at this time but any donation, big or small, would be a huge help.
It takes a lot to lay someone at rest, emotionally, mentally, physically and financially. As Amanda's sister, and Kelsey's Aunt, I feel it is only my job to do everything in my power to help as much as I can. Please everyone, lets all come together as a family, as a community, or even as a nation to celebrate the life of this beautiful angel.
