<div>My name is Jennifer Canty. I am 37 years old and have recently had the worst news of my life delivered. I have been diagnosed with an aggressive type of breast cancer (Stage 3 triple positive IDC).

<div>For those of you who know me, you know I have had my share of tragedy. I lost my first daughter, Sophia, when she was 2 to an accidental drowning in our backyard pool. She became my angel on 12/7/2014. Trying to cope, I lost myself in an addiction that almost claimed my life. Until, 4 years later when I found out I was pregnant again. I went into rehab for a year, got out, and can successfully say I have been clean and sober for 1,460 days. Upon this newfound journey into sobriety, I had my second daughter, Mackenzie. She was born on 12/7/2018!! The very day my first daughter died tragically. Isn’t our God great!? Like seriously?

<div>Fast forward to 4/5/2025, biopsy results come back and I’m told I have breast cancer stage 3. Now because I am strong in my faith, I don’t panic immediately. I know I serve a mighty God who delivered me once from my addiction and can and WILL do it again! I truly believe this. And if I am wrong, at least I will know whatever is to come is HIS will, not mine. And I’m okay with that.

<div>But enough back story… <strong>I started this GoFundMe as a way to ask for help from my community.</strong> This diagnosis sadly is robbing everything that makes me feminine. This is my last week having hair, and come November my breasts will be gone to prevent the chance of this cancer coming back. The cost of wigs and hair covers are expensive. I’m told insurance will cover this, but I’m still waiting on the approval for that. I’m not able to work as much as I was pre-diagnosis and well, bills don’t care nor do they wait.

<div><strong>My 6-year-old daughter is being such a trooper through this horrific ordeal.</strong> But she’s about to see her mom undergo some serious transformations. No hair, sick and in bed all the time, unable to eat. Things I once did easily with her like getting her ready in the mornings or bath time, suddenly will be put on pause while I fight off this parasitic disease in my body. She looks forward to summer camp every year. And usually, because I am able to work full time, we can send her without issue. I want to be able to continue to do these things for her and make this transition easier. She is brave just like her mom.

<div>Any funds received will go to helping pay bills and treatment costs while I’m undergoing chemotherapy and radiation. Also, since my child is out of school for the summer, paying for summer camp and groceries for my daughter will also be included in what’s covered from any donations received.

<div>I debated for a while on making one of these, because, well, my pride. But here I am humbling myself and at the mercy of strangers and friends, whoever wants to help or can help… any amount is appreciated. Even if it’s just me being mentioned in prayer!!! Prayers move mountains! So please PRAY for my recovery and my finances and family during this difficult time.
