Breast Cancer and My Journey!!!!

I'm going to update this page a bit, so here goes. On Nov. 5th I was told "you have breast cancer". I was in shock. How could this be, I have two small children, I'm only 36 and just got let go from my job a month earlier. My wonderful husband and family started going into overdrive. Everyone wanted to help in some way but some didn't know how. I of course was like what's the deal, I'm not even sick yet and I'm more excited about the future boob job :) My feelings started to change after my first chemo treatment and all the doctors and surgeons started throwing dollar figures at my husband and I. An example "after each round of chemo they give me an injection. This $7,000 injection helps your bones reproduce bone marrow which super-boosts your white blood cell count. So lets do some math, I have to do 6 rounds of chemo, our insurance covers 80/20 and at $7,000 an injection that equals a whole lot of money for extra cells! Plus you know you're going to get charged a crazy amount when the drug company offers a credit card to put what insurance doesn't pay for on it." My wonderful husband told me not to worry about the money but I could see it in his eyes he was scared. Scared of my being sick, scared of losing me, scared of the impending debt that's headed our family's way. So right now we are taking things day by day. I have the greatest family and friends ever and with all of your help I know I can beat this. So thank you for your support and God Bless.
