Help My Brother Vinny Get a Van Fund!

Donation protected
Please help us! We need support! I am hoping with the 5000 fans we have on our My Brother Vinny page, our community outreach and our real work you will all consider donating at least - $ 1, $ 2 or even $ 5! It would truly help us achieve our goal! Having a Van powered by the people :)

My Brother Vinny" is a NYS 501c3. We organize; distribute food, clothing and furniture to US Veterans, outreach groups, shelters and families in need in Westchester County/neighboring vicinities. We run an annual My Brother Vinny/Special Olympics Walk and help local animal shelters and rescue groups in the aid and support of animal welfare. We establish and implement community based events geared towards improving the enjoyment of life, happiness and health of the emotionally, physically and mentally disabled.

Generous donations such as yours enable to us to fulfill our mission of "Helping mankind one good deed at a time" While we incur many tangible items throughout our work that assist in coordinating our US Veteran moves and other services we provide. Like all charitable organizations we have many operational costs throughout or day to day services we perform. We require a large level of storage, fuel, rentals, supplies, special event supplies that that enable an organization to run properly. We also on many occasionals provide many supplemental items to help our charitable recipients with day to day living.

My Brother Vinny coordinates through the VA Montrose with Veterans that have been selected for the HUD-VASH (Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing Program of Supporting Housing Program). Since June, 2013 we have been assigned over fifty-seven US Veterans that we currently have assisted or will assist with their moves. When we say moves we provide all of the items needed to start over through community support and donation. All of the US Veterans that we assist come from many different branches of military service and with varied degrees of disabilities and hardships. These Veterans although homeless are left with a deep sense of pride and have welcomed our support and services because we do not offer a handout we offer our hand in friendship and support. Many Veterans are reliant on community service groups now to assist them and I believe we offer a unique service in our support we give to the Veterans. We do not charge the Veterans anything and on many
occasions give them complete moves on the 1st day they have a key for their home.

Our very first Veteran told me you will have your own Army now and we will help you in any way possible and it cannot be any truer. The Veterans have volunteered to help with other stages of My Brother Vinny community service work, helped us move other Veterans and look forward to future work we will do together to help others.
Through community support we collect and provide household items, kitchen utensils, kitchen tables, chairs, sofa, beds, linens, dish sets, toiletries, etc. The HUD-VASH voucher provides permanent housing for eligible homeless Veterans who are single or eligible homeless Veterans with families. The program is developed for the homeless Veteran, so eligible Veteran families must include the Veteran.

We are a volunteer organization and rely on donations of tangible items and funding to provide our Veteran moves. We do not charge the Veterans and have become the only resource that provides all of the items we supply in one resource.

Please donate to us; please help us obtain our own Van! We rely on rentals to perform our services and coordination with volunteers. We require a large level of storage, fuel, rentals, supplies that enable our organization to run properly. Helping us raise the funds necessary to have our own Van is an essential need.

As we grow, we all grow together! My Brother Vinny began to honor the memory of my youngest brother Vincent Miritello who passed away in 2000. Vincent had Cerebral Palsy and did not walk and talk throughout his life. He is the biggest influence in my life and our mission is in place to advocate and help others whether people or furry friends that need a voice, assistance and joy in their lives. We are together leaving a legacy of good throughout the community and hopefully one day the world!

We are requesting a tax deductible monetary donation in even the smallest amount which will assist us in our operations that make reaching all those we help possible.

Thank you so much!!! Love,Paula
