Urgent Help Needed: Health, Stability, and Treatment
Hi friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and an urgent request for support. I’ve been battling an autoimmune disorder for years, and recently, it has progressed to the point where my body has stopped producing blood platelets and now requires regular plasma transfusions to survive. This led to the discovery of multiple myeloma and two small, slow-growing lung tumors. The myeloma is in its early stages and treatable, but before I can start treatment, I need to stabilize my platelet production, which requires a bone marrow transplant. The lung tumors are very small, and a slow growing variation that are not currently an addressable concern in my medical treatment and are very survivable left untreated.
Unfortunately, the transplant comes with significant risks, and I will need a longer recovery period than normal—at least three months—during which I won’t be able to work. I currently have good private insurance, and the option of a short-term disability insurance that could pay approximately 60% of my expenses if I were to activate it and pursue this treatment path. I am working with advisors to help me plan for this option and have been encouraged to reach out and ask for assistance from anyone that could be able or willing. I’m currently facing severe financial challenges, and I need help to get through this critical time so that I will be able to continue progressing my life and treatment plan.
Here’s what I’m dealing with:
- I’m behind on rent and at risk of losing my home.
- My car is dangerously close to being repossessed due to lack of payments, and it’s in urgent need of repairs to remain operational for medical appointments and work.
- I’m not qualifying for public assistance, even though I’ve tried everything available to me, due to my income level being too high, leaving me in a difficult if not impossible financial position.
How you can help:
1. Co-sign a Loan: I’m seeking a $10,000 personal loan to cover:
- Catching up on rent and car payments
- Paying my insurance deductible to continue treatment
- Car repairs to ensure I can keep working and going to medical appointments
- Consolidating my debt to lower monthly expenses
- Building an emergency fund for future needs
2. Direct Financial Contributions: Any contribution, no matter the amount, would go directly toward covering rent, car maintenance, medical expenses, and treatment costs.

5. Remote Job Opportunities: If you know of any entry-level, remote, computer-based job opportunities in services or AI, I would greatly appreciate hearing about them. I’m currently studying for an Applied AI degree, and the sooner I can start applying my new skills in a practical setting, the better. A flexible, remote position would help stabilize my situation and allow me to balance my medical needs, school, and recovery.
