Hospice Workers For Human Rights
Donation protected
I am a hospice bereavement coordinator and art therapist working for a not-for-profit hospice program in the East Bay Area. My team and I have joined together and created art honoring those who are suffering the grief of separation from their families at the border. As hospice providers for the dying and their bereaved families, we know first-hand the trauma and sadness families experience when losing a loved one to death. It is with this awareness that we come out against government sanctioned separation of families. To separate and detain children from their parents is a cruel act of psychological violence that will likely cause a lifetime of injury and strained familial bonds. We stand together against such flagrant disregard of human rights.
The aim of this campaign is to collect money to donate to RAICES, the largest immigration non-profit in Texas, which offers free and low cost legal services to children and families. They are currently working to help pay detainees immigration bonds, which start at $1500.
Those who donate $20 or more will receive an AWESOME poster created by our amazing team of Hospice providers.
Thank you for your participation and support!!!
