Trish posted the following message on Facebook in order to find a new home for her precious Doberman, Zeus, whom she cannot keep without a new fence (which was destroyed in the October flood). This fundraising site has been created by a trusted friend in order to help fund the cost of the fence so that Zeus can remain part of her family.
Most of you know I rarely post on Facebook but I need to get this message out soon - so if you know anyone who might be interested:
I saved for three years to get the dog of my dreams. Then another year to put up a sturdy six-foot fence over 3/4 acre to keep him safe but able to run. Finally got him last November. He is sixteen months old now and gorgeous. Has some professional training and is just starting to be really great.
The Halloween flood tore up the foundation of my home and ripped away the siding. Insurance will cover most of that. However, the fence was almost completely taken down and they will not cover any of that. Zeus is going crazy from being trapped on the back porch when he is outside. This dog is too energetic for such a small space. I can walk him but he really needs to run and stretch and just be a BIG puppy.
I need to find a home for him with someone who has lots of energy, maybe a runner. Zeus loves kids but his size tends to scare them a little bit. He is only 80 lbs right now but should keep growing for another few months. He is a beautiful and perfect doberman puppy. The pictures below are the fence and Zeus. He is only 4 months old in these photos. But you can already see how good he looks.
