On the evening of December 4, two days after the above photo was taken by Sarah's sister, Fermin (far left in the photo), was putting up Christmas lights on the front of the families home on St.Joseph St. in Lancaster. While doing so, he fell about 10 to 15 feet. He suffered severe trauma to his head and was taken by ambulance to Lancaster General Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery and was later admitted to the trauma neuro unit in the Lancaster General Hospital. He currently remains there in critical condition and in a coma (12/12/13).En la noche del 4 de diciembre, dos días después de la foto de arriba fue tomada por la hermana de Sarah , Fermín ( izquierda en la foto) , fue la colocación de las luces de Navidad en el frente de las familias casa en St. Joseph St. en Lancaster. Sarah and the kids have a strong belief in God and their faith. Their church, family and friends have rallied around them to provide support and inspiration during these trying times.Sarah y los niños tienen una fuerte creencia en Dios y su fe. As time passes, the immediacy of the crisis will diminish and the realities of mortgage payments, utilities, groceries, and the day to day living expenses that we all experience will come to the forefront and require attention. Additionally, there will be medical expenses that are not covered through the coverages already in place for him. Fermin was the main income earner for the family and worked 50 to 60 hours a week to help make ends meet. Although Sarah drives a school bus part time to supplement their income, the family lives month to month on what Fermin earns.

We are asking for your help to meet the specific needs mentioned above for Sarah and the kids while we hope and pray for Fermin to improve. While we all continue to hope and pray for a miracle lending itself to improvement, Fermin's physicians indicate any type of recovery or rehabilitation would be very lengthy.
