Send Kokeshi Roller Dolls to The Big O

The Kokeshi Roller Dolls is the first women's flat-track roller derby league in Okinawa, Japan that was established in August 2010 to provide a healthy, competitive, and enjoyable sport to the military, civilian, and local populations. We operate in accordance with the WFTDA (Women's Flat Track Derby Association) rules and regulations, and function as a non-profit organization to support and further the worldwide roller derby community and to provide an opportunity for friendship and recreation. In October 2011, we were accepted into the WFTDA Apprentice program, and we achieved our goal of becoming a full-fledged WFTDA league in June 2013!
Now KRD's all-star team, the Doll Stars, is now registered to compete in our very first tournament! We have been invited to The Big O Tournament in Eugene, OR, this May 2014. We are very excited to travel to the U.S. and play against other WFTDA teams so we can achieve our next goal of becoming a ranked WFTDA league. The Doll Star team consists of skaters and coaches who are teachers, military spouses, and active duty military serving in Okinawa, Japan. The cost of travel from Okinawa, Japan to the U.S. will exceed $40,000, airfare being our greatest challenge.
With your help, the financial burden will be eased for the team and league. Please help us achieve our goal of traveling to the U.S. and playing in The Big O Tournament!
